Poem
by Tonatiuh Catalá
From the book "Space out poems"
When I moved to the little house
on Highland Boulevard
the preachers already has told us
that the world will became to its end
Nobody trust in anybody faces anymore
not even on their own face
When I moved to the little house
on Highland Boulevard
The flags were rotten and
the stars were sending signals
to those who were desperate for eternity
When I move to the little house
on Highland Boulevard
Her body was already a devil’s flesh
Her voice turn sweeter and her bank account
grow wider
When I moved to the little house
On Highland Boulevard
The people were not leasing to their poets anymore
but only to the voices of the clowns
on T.V.
A wolf came to me one morning and said:
—I can help you.
But I saw the crumbs of the moon falling down
from between her fangs
When I moved to the little house
on Highland Boulevard.
Poema
y me dijo:
—Yo puedo ayudarte.
Pero vi las boronas de la luna
resbalando por sus colmillos.
Cuando me mudé a la casita
en el Bulevar Tierra Alta.
